Gotta love the AP

Here's how they describe the stimulus compromise...

"President Barack Obama's economic recovery plan is on track to pass the Senate after a handful of moderate Republicans and Democrats forced more than $100 billion in cuts in programs that wouldn't create many jobs right away."

Uh, OK... That's one way of putting it, I guess. Another way would be to say they "forced cuts in programs that won't create ANY jobs, EVER."

And by the way, look at the final buget number up on Drudge right now... doesn't look to me like they cut much of anything.

And Senator Carl Levin (D-Michigan) said yesterday not to worry, when the bill goes back to the House for committee, they're going to reinstate all the spending that was cut out last night.

Gee, thanks a lot jackhole!

Fine, let them own it. Even if they get the two Republican votes the Senate needs, that will be two whole Republicans who voted yes at the end of the day.

This ridiculous bill and the developing foreign policy disasters of Afghanistan, Iran, and whatever else we don't know about yet will define this man's Presidency.
