Well, not really. But I happened to watch FACE THE NATION for the first time in recent memory, and saw Schieffer interview Rahmn Emmanuel. It certainly wasn't a takedown interview -- not that I wouldn't necessarily want it to be -- but it was nice to see a journalist not simply accepting whatever answers Obama and his staff were giving. It's pretty clear that Emmanuel didn't want to show Obama's cards in the interview about the specifics of how Obama would "hit the ground running" w/r/t the economy.
That's fine. But Schieffer called him on it, and that's good. Particularly when we have four years of Softball with Chris Matthews to look forward to.

I love that you've embraced the new title of Chris' show! :-)
I predict that it will soon be downgraded from "Softball with Chris Matthews" to "Tee Ball with Chris Matthew." Sample question "President Obama, how much cooler are you than former President George W. Bush?"
Matthews will pull out the hackneyed "difference between white people and black people" standup material.
"See, a white president is like ... [affect nerdy, uptight voice] My fellow Americans, we need to take swift and deliberate action to allevite our economic problems."
"A black president be like ... [affect cool, "soul brother" voice] yo, we broke? Let me take care of it, I'll do the damn thing."
Someone needs to let Rahm know that he's mangling Obama's "kick the can down the road" comment. "Kick it down the can" is amusing though.
He really said "Kick it down the can"?
That's hilarious!
Not once. Not twice. But three times.
